Good Deed Council とは

2025年4月、KAでは、アメリカを拠点とするNPO法人「The Loukoumi Foundation」とパートナーシップを結び、当校に在籍する中高生を対象としたボランティアグループ「Good Deed Council」を発足しました。年間を通じて、さまざまな社会貢献活動を企画・実施してまいります。

発足から間もないながらも、生徒たちはそれぞれの想いを持って活動に参加し、プロジェクト第1弾として、関東の児童福祉施設に向けた七夕の飾りづくりを行いました。

プロジェクト第2弾：KAフードドライブ

フードドライブとは、家庭で余っている未開封の食品を持ち寄り、必要としている方々や支援団体へ届ける活動です。KAフードドライブは、東京を拠点に地域支援を行う認定 NPO 法人フードバンク「セカンドハーベスト・ジャパン」と連携して行います。

この企画は、Good Deed Council のメンバーがアイデアを出し合いながら企画したもので、回収用のボックスも生徒たちが心を込めて作成しました。

Good Deed Council は、KAの中高生を対象に、月2回の頻度でミーティングや活動を行っています。今後も、地域社会に貢献できるよう、さまざまなプロジェクトを予定しています。

In April 2025, KA partnered with The Loukoumi Foundation, a US-based NPO, to launch the KA Good Deed Council, a volunteer group for our JH/HS students. The Good Deed Council is an organization that plans, implements, and participates in various volunteer activities throughout the year.

It has only been a few months since the council has started, but the students have already made great progress planning various volunteer activities.

They completed their first volunteer project by creating colorful Tanabata decorations which will be sent out to children’s homes across the Kanto area. They have come up with many wonderful ideas, which will be implemented throughout the school year.

The Second Volunteer Project: Food Drive

What is "Food Drive"?

A food drive is a community activity where people donate unused, non-perishable food items from home to help support those in need or local support organizations. Through our food drive, we are partnering with Second Harvest Japan, a Tokyo-based non-profit organization, to support local communities in need.

The details of the food drive have been shared via email with KA families. Please be sure to check your inbox.

The Good Deed Council meets twice a month and is open to KA junior high and high school students. We have a variety of upcoming projects that allow students to contribute to their local communities.
